Vintage Mali African hand woven suede bag with contrast leather patch on the front with authentic patterned Bogolanfini cotton fabric detailing. Long leather shoulder strap. Two-tone suede fringe trimming on both sides. Stitch detailing on long strap. Front of bag has beaded woven leather and fringe embellishment. Inside is fully lined with two leather pouches. Vintage materials circa 1960. Dark camel brown Italian suede. Lining is made of a black Italian glove leather. Completely handmade and one-of-a-kind. T Smith Knowles is a native Californian who is a sculptor and fine artist. Her experimentation within her realm of work has led her to play around with wearable art conceived and executed with the same creative force as her sculpture or paintings. Her fashionable designs are lightweight, with no heavy hardware to weight them down, and are made from all natural and authentically vintage materials, including semi-precious stones and antique beads.
