Classic boot with a stylish edge!
I love this boot. I'm petite (5'3") and find that many boots have too tall shafts. This boot's shaft height is just right, with no digging or rubbing against the bend in the back of the leg. The boot is not too tight in the calves and has room for tucking in pants. The footbed is a little narrow for me, but I have wide feet. The style is classic, but with a stylish edge to it. The leather is soft, slightly textured/pebbled leather that will wear well over time. I prefer this textured/ pebbled leather over the super smooth leather that shows scratches easily. The belted strap that goes around the ankle area is not attached to the boot. You can move it up and down or even remove it. I like that it is not attached because it allows you to zip it up easier. You can just slide it up a little to give you more wiggle room to pull the zipper up. The brown is a beautiful, rich dark brown. I like it so much, that I ordered it in black!
