Caring for cashmere doesn't have to be a mystery... here are some dos & don'ts of cashmere care:
Do...
Gently wash knits in warm or lukewarm water with soap suitable for natural and synthetic fibers.
Lay knits on a dry towel and ease garment back into shape.
Roll the towel and press to remove excess water. Unroll towel and let air dry.
Fold and lay knits on a shelf or in a drawer.
Dry clean woven cashmere garments such as suits and coats.
Don't...
Wring or twist your cashmere knits.
Hang cashmere knits as it will stretch and ruin the shape of the garment.
Dry clean your cashmere knits on a regular basis. Save it for end of season cleaning or after 6-8 wearings.
Use a fabric shaver to remove pills. Cashmere is gentle, so hands only please.
