Vintage Nigerian Fulani African hand woven bag with European glass bead from Africa detailing all over front flap in a gorgeous design. Rope tassel and leather fringe trimming. Long leather strap with beautiful stitch detailing. Bead and tassel detailing at each upper side. Inside is all leather with two pouch pockets. All leather used is Italian and from the 1960s. Ivory colored leather trimming and grey suede lining. Three pockets one under flap. Completely handmade. T Smith Knowles is a native Californian who is a sculptor and fine artist. Her experimentation of her creativity led her to play around with wearable art conceived and executed with the same creative force as her sculpture or paintings. Her fashionable designs are lightweight, with no heavy hardware to weight them down, and are made from all natural and authentically vintage. Materials used include vintage leathers, semi-precious and precious stones and antique beads. Every stitch and detailing is hand fashioned, making each bag uniquely one-of-a-kind. Each piece is an original work of art.
