Fabric had nice feel, but cut was not ideal
I ordered the Small as my measurements align with a size 6 on the gypsy 05 size chart. I wanted to love this dress, as I've been looking for a maxi dress that works for me. Unfortunately, what I first noticed was fabric discoloration and bleeding at the bottom and some grease spots throughout the dress. I returned it as I felt this was defective (I hope these spots were not intentional...).
Aside from the stains, the fabric was a nice lightweight cotton jersey material that could be great for spring through fall. There is an attached above-knee-length slip underneath so you don't have to worry about it being see-through (description is incorrect in stating it is unlined). At 5'2", I found the dress a little long; it would have worked with some wedge sandals though. The dress was described as having "Sliding halter neckline ties at back neck" - however, the design of this dress was interesting...you cannot tie the dress at the neck, but you can tie it at the lower back (the tie is continuous around the back of your neck, through the top/outside of the triangles of the chest, and around the back). The cut was pretty straight/loose from the bust through the midsection and very loose from the waist down. I would have appreciated it being somewhat more fitted through the middle, but that is my own preference. There is no built in support, so will have to go without support if you are small enough or wear a strapless underneath (which may be tough to work out, as the back is cut pretty low). While this one didn't work out for me, I would still try another Gypsy 05 dress in the future.
