I have scarcely felt as elegant as in this truly iconic evening skirt, paired with a black beaded top. Don't be afraid of the pleats. It hangs in a column, is not at all thick around the middle, and is graceful and fluid when it moves. Absolutely marvelous for dancing. NOTE: Fabric is polyester georgette, not as heavy as I was expecting, but fully lined--so the skirt has enough body to hang well, but no bulk or weight. Note also that it runs both big and quite long. I ordered two sizes smaller than usual and only had to have it let out slightly at the waist when I had it shortened from the top.
