Excellent quality, poorly implemented
There is no doubt that this coat is in EXCELLENT quality, and Mackage truly makes a great quality coats and jackets. But when I got the jacket, I realized why it was in deep discount! Everything is perfect, except one thing. This has shoulder pads... very small one, but big enough where your shoulders are pointy......It's not the kind that you see from the old days (was it 70's or 80's where they used to have shoulder pads?), it's not that kind. Do you remember where the pointy shoulders were kind of in during 2012 for a very short period of time? A lot of celebrities were wearing them, but that's where you want them to stay. To wear this everyday would be very challenging. I even thought about taking to the tailor to take the pads out, but I thought it would cost too much as the sleeves are leather and body is wool, so it would not be a easy task. I asked myself so many times, why why why did they put shoulder pads.. I returned mine. I own a few other Mackage line as well as Soia Kyo, and never been disappointed with their products. I guess I am just not that confident to wear this as a every day jacket. If I spend money for a Mackage jacket, I make sure I can wear it every day, and will last a long time. This jacket might be just one season jacket.
