It was his unique and artfully shaped lasts and heels that garnered attention from then famous shoe designer Ossie Clark, who used Blahnik’s designs and catapulted his career. Blahnik’s first shop, located in the Chelsea section of London, opened in 1973. Today, you can find his magnificent shoes around the world; each shoe is still carefully designed by Blahnik himself. Legions of loyal followers flock to acquire his beautiful creations season after season; each collection has its own storyline that adds to the allure and majesty of his designs. It is Manolo Blahnik’s passion to create luxurious shoes that in his words, “help transform a woman.”
