I intended to wear this as an everyday winter boot, and wanted a knee high - over the knee boot. The Noa is nice in that it can transition between knee high and OTK, though it wears rather loosely. I will need to have it taken in for a more fitted (rather than slouchy) look. The boot does hit a nice level above my knee.
However, the outsole of this boot is very strange. The heel has a diagonal slash crossing its length, above which there is a strange, soft pink material (which also spans the length of the arch), which I found to be peculiar. The outsole beneath the ball of the foot has no treads whatsoever (and the pink material provides little traction), so this is a very slippery boot.
The heel of the boot beneath the diagonal slash does have treads, but this is barely adequate to provide enough traction to prevent from slipping. I have not fallen in these boots, but must be hyper-vigilant of how and where I am walking--which defeats of the purpose of purchasing these as a winter boot.
I would have returned them, but I did not discover this issue until I had worn them outside.
The are lovely looking, but not for practical, everyday wear.
