I gambled on this one because I wasn't convinced by the photo. But the jacket came in and I was impressed with its quality, and it looks far better on than in the photo here. On the mannikin it shows some wrinkles whch suggested the leather was too thin, but that's not the case at all, and once on, it's completely smooth and drapes just fine. What's more, great detail makes this jacket cool-looking. Another reviewer said it ran a little long, which got me to switch from medium to small. Glad I did. I'm 5 foot 11 inches and 165 lbs and it fits close to perfect, maybe just a tad large, with the sleeves being an inch too long (I wear 34 sleeve length in a dress shirt). But because it has double snaps at the end of the sleeves, I can use the second snap to shorten the sleeve. If you're 6 feet, weigh 170 and wear a 40 regular blazer, the small should fit you perfectly. The medium is probably for the guy who wears a 42 jacket and weighs 180 or more. Large for a big guy over 200.
The jacket is not the skimpy tight-fitting type, but rather has a little more ease to it, while still looking fairly modern. The length is not short, but falls about 4 to 5 inches below the belt. The weight is what I would call light-medium, definitely not heavy. The snaps on the side pockets look good, and the pockets are big enough for your hands (very important). The front zip goes all the way up, but the jacket looks best open or zipped up part way. I also like how a generous collar can be turned up to keep a cold wind out. The sleeve lining is a slippery silk like material, making it easy to slip on. Inside there is a zippered compartment for your wallet, small flask, or other stash. There is great stitch detailing around the pockets, on the sleeves, on the back, around the waist band, cuffs, etc. Just a great looking jacket that's very comfortable.
