More than meets the eye!
I have to agree that this dress looks much better actually ON than it looks in this photo. Truthfully, it also doesn't have much "hanger appeal"--it looks almost shapeless when you first see it. But my goodness, it looks fabulous when you actually wear it! I'm relatively thin and sort of straight up and down, but this dress added some curves to my body. When you put it on, it accentuates your body by going in nicely at the waist and caressing your curves (or in my case, adding some in where there weren't any!) It is also so lightweight and comfortable to wear. The color is also brighter and more vibrant than it looks in this photo. In person, the material also has more of a sheen to it. I would say that it is true to size, and perhaps even a bit on the large/loose side. I am 5'4", 118 pounds and small chested (32A). The size 4 fit me nicely. It's funny how both a small chested girl like me, and a self-described curvy girl like the last reviewer both loved this dress and found it flattering (even in the same size). That goes to show that this dress is so great that a variety of body types can pull it off. This is what fashion should do, enhance the beauty of every woman. I am a huge Marchesa fan and this reminded me of why.
