I have been looking for a cashmere wrap to replace one that I lost earlier this year. This works perfectly and is nice and large and warm. Can be used as a wrap or a scarf.

Thick, stylish and of great quality

I love this scarf! I was a bit worried it would be itchy, but not on my skin. After reading a previous review, I decided to take the risk b/c I own another Portolano product and like the quality a lot. I'm glad I did b/c I was nicely surprised. It's definitely not the softest, "Italian-like" cashmere, so you know, but it's definitely of high quality and it doesn't look cheap. The thing about cashmere is that it can be itchy on some people, unless it's the best cashmere out there. I'm usually quite sensitive b/c of my super dry skin, and still had no issues with this one. What I like the most about this scarf is that it's pretty "heavy-duty". If you're looking for a thick scarf that will keep you warm, this is it. It's thicker than I expected. It's perfect for NY winter but might be too much for fall, if you're looking for something lighter.

This scarf isn't as soft as I was hoping, but it gets the job done. I was looking for a big, ribbed, black scarf, and the fact that its cashmere just makes it a bit better. The cashmere is a bit scratchy, but not as scratchy as some wools. It will definitely keep me warm in winter, bit I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a super soft cashmere scarf.
