While her famous last name may suggest radio play more than ready-to-wear, designer Stella McCartney has proved herself as an established talent in the fashion world. After graduating from Central St. Martin’s esteemed fashion program in 1995, McCartney served as Creative Director of Chloe before launching her namesake line in 2001. Her shoes, handbag and clothing collections are known for fine tailoring, strong femininity, and an ethical point of view. Because of the designer’s commitment to the environment and animal rights, she excludes leather and fur from all her collections and often works with organic and eco-friendly materials.
