Like a sleeping bag
This coat is beautifully made and of excellent quality, but has a couple of weird design features. First, the pillow neck is quite large and there is no way to fold it down. It's like wearing blinders. This is further exacerbated by the hood, which is gigantic, and yet doesn't cover your entire head because it's ruched in the top middle, so it stops a few inches back from your hairline. The method for securing the hood is quite bizarre as well - there are a series of ribbons on the top edge of the hood along the neck and D-rings underneath, so you can rope around the rolled up hood and secure the ribbons. Then the tails kind of hang down your back (there is no way to secure the ribbons when the hood is not tied down, so you have random ribbons hanging down your front). The ribbons were not finished at the bottom edges and felt cheap, and one of the ribbons on my coat was sewn on incorrectly. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is that the body of the coat fit nicely and it was well made (apart from the cheap ribbons). Needless to say, this purchase went back.
