Love the look, but not the fit...
When I stumbled upon these sandals, it was love at first sight. I just had to have them. I couldn't wait to have them and was excited to find them at my doorstep in just a few days. I ripped the box open (not literally of course) and tried them on right away. I love the way they smell of leather, and the quality looks great, but there were a few minor things I wasn't too crazy about. The first thing I noticed right away was that the zippers are somewhat difficult to move up and down. I figured I could deal with it since I could always use the buckles on the side instead - but I'm a little concerned about whether the zipper will stop functioning all together after time. The second thing I noticed was that these sandals run at least a half size bigger (I noticed that in the description later - I was busy looking for that information in the reviews but there was only one and it was not mentioned). Now for most, this isn't a problem because they can just exchange it for a smaller size. However, for me, I don't have that option since I typically wear a size 5.5, which is the smallest size available for this sandal. As a result, there's a little space at the heel (which isn't so bad considering that it's not really exposed). Finally, the other day, I wore the sandals for the first time and by the end of the day, the front of my ankles were killing me (and are still tender to the touch 2 days later) because the top front part of the sandals dig into the ankles. I'm really hoping this changes after the leather has been broken in because it really hurts! So, in the end, I am a little disappointed by those things, but because I love them so much, I decided to keep them anyway. Hopefully, I won't regret that decision.
