The house of Balmain came into it’s own during the golden age of Parisian couture, when screen sirens like Brigitte Bardot and Marlene Dietrich stepped out in the label’s signature evening gowns. In recent years, the brand has experienced a modern runway Renaissance. Under the creative direction of Christophe Decarnin, the label has become a favorite of international ‘It Girls’ like Julia Restoin and Kate Moss who favor Balmain’s aggressive footwear, stamp-size mini dresses, and strong silhouettes. And all women can appreciate the label’s commitment heritage. “[Founder] Pierre Balmain had a very on-trend approach to fashion: he wanted to create the appropriate outfit for the appropriate moment,” Decarnin has said. “That is also my ambition.”

Love this shoe! So fun and different! Received many compliments! I was afraid they would be very uncomfortable but they really aren't, considering the heel height. Very well made, of course!

These shoes seem higher than the advertised 4 ins. However, they are still fabulous and the color is great - very neutral.
