Im 5'9 and the size and fit are perfect. I went to a local store that carried the brand and made sure I got the right size the first time. The boot comes just past the knee on me, so not thigh high. I like heels, but cant do a pencil thin heel, so these are very comfortable and dont rub me anywhere. Can be dressed up or down; they are a statement piece without being too showy.

Love this boot! The leather is good quality and is a rich deep brown colour. The boot is big through the ankle and calf, but mine are both quite small. Will have to take it to a cobbler to get it taken in a couple inches. The foot portion is nicely sized, large enough to add a felt insole for those cold winter days. I am a 9.5 and ordered the 10 since another pair of Miz Mooz I own is size 10 and then fit perfectly. These run larger than my other shoes from this brand, but this will be handy for wool socks. Receive compliments every time I wear them.

FANTASTIC OTK BOOT!

I originally got these when they were on sale for 65 on Bluefly. Sadly they're 90+ now. I'm 5'3", my calves measure about 14.5". These boots hit me right above my knee about 4" up. I also have thick thighs so unfortunately I am unable to zip the boots fully BUT they still look great unzipped. The faux fur lining isn't thick but still very warm. I'm a 7.5 in sneakers and 8 in shoes/boots normally. So I got these in a size 8 but felt that I could have gotten the 7.5.
The only issues I've had with the boots is that its hard to get my foot out. I'm not sure if it's only me but the foot opening is a little small so my heels get stuck. Also there isn't enough room for height of my feet. There's a small pressure on the top of my foot from the lack of room but that should stretch out eventually.
Overall, I love them, the leathers great, the price is great, the comfort's there and would suggest them to anyone!

These Dorato boots are both comfortable and stylish. I chose the black ones (which are really a black-brown, since the distressed leather is a medium-brown color). My only criticism is that the soles are very smooth on the bottom, making it hard to get traction, even on concrete (and especially on tile or carpet). I would recommend getting glue-on grips for the bottom, or scraping the bottom of the soles on gravel). If it wasn't for the slippery sole, I would have given these boots top marks.
