The picture doesn't quite do the dress justice. It's more red or like a wine purple color. When the light catches it, there is a slight color change to a more rich color. The material is also really good. It was really light and did not feel heavy despite the length of the dress.

This is a very elegant dress. From a previous review, I expected it to be bright red, however, it is a dark fuscia, which is quite lovely. The fabric is luxurious and drapes nicely. The fit (for size 12) is a little large.

This was my first time a) purchasing a dress online, and b) purchasing via bluefly.com... I am extremely pleased with not only the dress but the entire process. The online ordering process was easy and I feel that Bluefly's return policy is quite fair. I am petite, 5'2'' 110lbs and had ordered this dress in a size 2. It will need minor alterations (ie. length and taken in a bit at the waist) but I could not be happier with the overall quality and fit. I purchased this specific dress to wear to my husband's military ball and while it was expensive (to me) it was money well spent!!!

Pretty but runs small in bust

I was so looking forward to wearing this dress, but it runs WAY too small in the bust/across the back. I wear a 12 or 14. I think they only had this in a 14, so I figured I would try it and have it altered if too big - NO, it was INCHES too narrow across the back. I have NEVER had a 14 be too small, usually too big! NOT good sizing. Bummer. It's a very pretty dress, just mis-sized.

the dress was not packed appropriately for shipping and their were many holes where the sequins were missing.
