I am a size 8 at Gap type stores. I ordered the 29 in this jean, but it was skin tight. I returned, and hope to get a size 30.
Color is good, dark but vibrant. Rise is great-- not too low, but not high either. Fabric is thin, which neither good or bad, just depends what you are looking for.
Great for people too scared to buy "skinny jeans"

I had always avoided skinny jeans. I thought they must be too tight. Plus jeans always sag on me, because to get them over my hips they were just too big in the waste. But these jeans are magic. They are soft, so no riding up. And since they go by the waste measurement, they actually fit around the waste. They make me feel fantastic and sexy in jeans, which I have never ever felt before! Such a dark wash, I can put on a dressier top and feel totally comfortable heading out for the night. And if you want to wear boots over the jeans, try the straight legged variety--I bought those too and love them just as much.
This product is great, but runs TINY.

I have quite a few pairs of designer jeans, and was excited to try James Jeans. I got the same size that I wear in Joe's and R&R, but when they arrived I couldn't even zip them! I am super bummed, because they look like fantastic jeans and fit perfectly on my legs. Will be returning both pairs I bought.

These were a great deal price-wise and well worth it. These jeans are good for going out and they could even be worn in a casual-Friday office if you added a jacket and a dressy top. They sit a little lower on the waist than I thought, so I ended up having to return them and get a bigger size. But that's a risk you take buying jeans online - you can't try them on so you're kind of shooting blind. It all worked out though (I had a terrific customer service experience), and I really like the jeans.
