Loved this dress - total showstopper. Runs a little small though. I'm a 6 and the 8 was a snug (but sexy) fit.
Gorgeous concept, terrible execution

This dress is lovely on the hanger, however the cut is absolutely atrocious. I can't think of any body type this dress would flatter. It runs slightly large on top and extremely, extremely small from the waist down so that it is nearly impossible to put it on because the waist is too narrow to fit over your chest (and both my waist and chest are tiny; I'm a very petite 98 lbs and wear a 0 or 00 in all other brands). However, once you have gotten the dress on, which is quite a process, it is just one hot mess, and I don't think sizing up would correct the issues. Because it is so tight from the waist down, I found that despite having a long torso, the back of the dress was bunching up right at the point where it went from loose fitting to unbearably snug (just above my rear). Considering the sheer back, it looked terrible. The only way this dress would look good is on a woman with Barbie proportions (huge chest and no semblance of a waistline) and she would not be able to physically put the dress on without cutting it open as it would not fit over her chest. Not recommended.

This dress runs absurdly small. I always wear a size 4 and this was cut much closer to a 0 or 00. I had two friends helping me put it on and couldn't even get it come close to zipping.

Its a beautiful dress but I received the dress with two holes on the front of the dress.
Beautiful design but poor fabric!
I would only recommend for NO curves

This dress was way tight at the butt and hips. I got this dress in a 4 and it barely zipped at the bottom. Normally I would go up a size but it was already a little baggy on top. I'm usually a 2 or 4 in Alice & Olivia dresses, so I'm not sure if it's just the cut of this one. That said, the dress is awesome--if you have no curves, this will look awesome on you (because it will actually fit).
Beautiful dress but the sizing was way off.

I was very excited to receive this dress and try it on, it was beautiful on the web page. I had never worn Alice and Olivia before and went by the sizing chart for fit. I know sizes run all over the place depending on where you shop, but I am mostly an average size 6. Based off the sizing chart and my measurements, I should have bought a size 4. Well, I wasn't chancing it so I bought a 6 and was planning on taking it in if need be. Unfortunately that plan didn't work. The dress came in the correct size 6 but it did not fit. I had a hard time getting my shoulders in but once I shimmed my way in the top, I could not pull it down over my bum. My bum isn't exactly small, but it isn't JLo either. I was very disappointed because the dress was beautiful, with excellent detail and construction. I would expect nothing less from a designer like Alice and Olivia. I sent the dress back and did not purchase the next size. For the price the dress was, it was just too much to risk another heartache of the next size not fitting.
Bottom line, I loved the dress and wished it had fit. I would recommend going out and trying on an Alicia and Olivia at a department store to get the sizing right, before purchasing. I wish I had done that as I don't care what the number says the size is, I just want it to fit beautifully.
